At the beginning of the 50s, Quinto Luna and his son Alfredo ran a small body shop in the shadow of the walls of Osimo. The body shop was quite successful until, one day, an opportunity arose that would change their lives forever. Pastore & Lombardi, a company from Bologna, offered them the opportunity to start producing parts for fitting out trucks.
With an initial investment of 40,000 lire, they bought a second garage, a manual bending machine and some tackers.
At the beginning it was a real challenge: the workers had to cross the road that divided the two sheds with heavy loads on their shoulders. Besides, they had to work at night, when the rest of the city was asleep, so scarce was the availability of electricity at the time.
Luna Quinto S.p.A. was being born.
The efficiency and reliability typical of our company were evident right from the start and this led to rapid success. The expansion was rapid and unstoppable, every three months all the machinery was renewed, more and more powerful, bigger and bigger. The transition from light to heavy carpentry was taking place.The manual machines were no longer able to satisfy the production needs and the spaces were becoming more and more restricted. It was therefore decided to rent a shed in a nearby hamlet of Osimo where finding space would not have been a problem. So the company moved to Campocavallo. The new shed lasted only a few months, the machinery grew and changed continuously, so it was decided to move to an area a few meters from the previous one. In this new location the company will continue to grow for more than 60 years, up to the present day.
In the last decades of the 1900s there was a real revolution in the concept of work, overwhelmed by the technological revolution, especially in the IT sector. Luna Quinto S.p.A. understood that times were changing and immediately rode the wave of the third industrial revolution. The company purchased oxyfuel cutting machines, plasma cutting machines and the first welding robots that soon came to work on three shifts, 24 hours a day.
The peak of technological evolution was reached in the new millennium, when the machine tool building was inaugurated. The latest generation of CNC milling machines and lathes were purchased.
Customers were no longer small entrepreneurs, but orders began to arrive from large multinationals.
In the meantime, the Luna family had reached the fourth generation at the helm of the company.

Our company is based in Campocavallo, a small village on the slopes of Osimo, rich in greenery, history and traditions.
Offices and production departments are concentrated in this single location to ensure maximum proximity and synergy between all sectors involved in our business. To date, we occupy an area of 30,000 square meters organized in two areas.
The first facility is in turn divided into three departments: cutting/bending, manual and robot welding, and sandblasting and painting surface treatments.
The second building, the most recent one, houses the mechanical machining department.
Finally, we have over 2,000 m2 of warehouse space to cope with the high variability of demand and increasingly tight delivery times.
In our social object, we integrate the aim of having a positive impact on society and the biosphere. We pursue positive effects on people, communities, territories and environment, cultural and social assets and activities, organizations and associations and other stakeholders.
U.S.D Osimana is the local football team that has been playing since 1922. For many years we have been the main sponsor of this reality. Our goal is to give support especially to the youth academy, which is a safe and healthy meeting place for more than 600 young people in the area.
Our company is located in Campocavallo, a small hamlet of Osimo. In this area the cycling culture has always been flourishing. The support of Luna Quinto S.p.A. for local cycling began in 1967 when, Quinto Luna with Adalberto Gabrielloni and others, founded the G.S. Luna Alfredo in honour of his prematurely deceased son. After more than 50 years of history, the same company today bears the name of G.S. Campocavallo, of which we remain one of the main sponsors.
